21 Questions With Ms. B
1. What's up with those pics of you in swimsuits and underwear I've seen on the net? And what do your fellow authors think about them?
Well, in addition to being an author, I do some modeling. It is something that I always wanted to pursue and I've just recently taken a stab at it. As far as what people think, I never base my decisions on that, I do what's in my heart and looking prettyin photographs is something that I love to do.
2. What happend to your stage play? I though it was supposed to come out in 2009?
Due to creative differences and cast issues we rescheduled. The stage play is still in the works and will debut in spring 2010.
3. Do you have beef with any author's? I've heard rumors.
No, though some people may have beef with me, I don't have any problems with any authors. I believe that tehre's enough money out there for all of us and I can't waste my energy beefing with another author when I can be spending my time promoting myself.
4. Are you single?
At this time, yes I am
5. How did you get into graphic design?
I started doing events a few years back and because it was a weekly event I decided to learn how to design event flyers rather than paying someone to do. Eventually I learned how to do so much more that flyers but I taught myself with the help of a few online tutorials.
6. What else are you into because you seem to be the jack of all trades?
I am also a fashion designer which a lot of people don't know. I actually had fashion design in high school and The Art Institute of Philadelphia. Additionally, I worked for a popular tailor in Philly for four years. I haven't sewn in years because I've been so busy with the books but it is still a love of mine.
7. Do you have any college degrees?
No I don't. I am the type of person that gets bored really quick and I could never settle on a major. I actually have enough college credits to get a bachelor's degree if they all went together. LOL. I took a break to avoid taking more classes that I didn't like. I plan to go back and finish my degree for fashion to teach.
8. How hard was it to turn your novel into a stage play?
It was very difficult just because I was new to it but now that I know how things should be done, the next one should be a breeze.
9. Do you give advice to other authors? Because a lot of author's act as if they don't have time to lend information.
Sure I give advice. I got a lot of advice from author's when I started and I feel like I should offer the same. It doesn't hurt to lend a little information.
10. Do you currently have an agent?
No I don't but I am looking for one.
11. How do you get noticed? It seems hard with so much competition.
I don't think it's hard, I just believe it takes a lot of work. You can't get too comfortable expecting the book to sell on it's own. You have to get out there and promote your work because no one else will do it for you.
